IS YOUR BUSINESS SUMMER READY?

AI can save time. What will you do with it?

Over the past week I have been talking about some of the practical ways AI can help businesses save time.

Drafting routine communications.

Documenting processes.

Analysing information.

Summarising meetings.

Finding patterns in data.

But there's a bigger question.

If AI gave you five hours back every week, what would you actually do with those five hours?

  • Would you simply fit more work into the week?

  • Or would you use that time to make the business stronger?

  • Perhaps you'd finally look properly at your margins.

  • Document the process everyone keeps asking you about.

  • Spend time developing your team.

  • Look at why the same operational problem keeps recurring.

  • Review the KPI's you collect but rarely have time to analyse.

  • Or simply step away from some of the work the business shouldn't need you to do anymore.

AI can help make a business faster.

But faster isn't necessarily stronger.

That's why throughout September I'm looking beyond AI and asking four broader questions:

CLARITY — Do we know where we're going?

SYSTEMS — Can the business operate consistently?

PROFITABILITY — Is the work we are doing actually creating value?

PERFORMANCE — Do we know what's working and what isn't?

AI can help with all four.

But it can't replace the thinking behind them.

Here's today's question:

If you suddenly had five extra hours available in your working week, what's the first thing in your business you would finally have time to fix?
